Time for our daily OPPO field trip to do what we always do, look at cars.

For those that are new to this, click the tag for reference.

Last time, we took the rear engined, 4 rotary diesel, carbon fiber brown OPPO bus to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the UK for the whole Clarkson chingadera. It was a typical hatchback filled European town with the occasional Bentley.

Today, we are in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , QC.

Not a lot. There's a cute yellow Smart just here but it seems a kind of featureless place. Odd to see French place names and shop fronts with pick ups and American cars everywhere rather than Clios.

Welp, scrolling through Oppo, and I came across a post about my hometown.

I know that Stealth, belongs to a guy I went to school with (last I heard).

I don't have time go go on Gmap now, but I'll see if I can remember where the unique cars are... Ferrari 308, Plymouth Duster, a few Boxsters...

There are no Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW dealerships, so the selection is somewhat limited on the European side.

I was at hebert, then it became noranda school. Graduated in 95-96

You forgot to mention that there are 3 de tomaso panteras(2 red and one yellow, my uncle has a red one) at least 2 67 shelby GT500, a superbird, I never saw the Ferrari 308, but there is a red testarossa(owned by the guy who owns the driving school)

I went to Notre-Dame de Protection in Noranda before La Source and Iberville.

I may have raced your uncle at a red light ! I don't remember who won, but I remember having my car's engine completely drowned out by the Pantera's.

You're sure it's a Testa and not a 308? I could have sworn... It's the same guy though, so you may be right.

Never saw the Superbird... But I think there might be a few Shelby cobra kit cars.

other rouyn post was when i bitched about the lack of service of the paquin family when we were asked to post shitty dealer experiences. Sorry I forgot it was you.

Don't think it was my uncles Pantera, since he babies it, and the other red one in town is almost the same. Superbird is my uncle's brother, and the green 67 shelby gt 500 is his other brother. My cousin used to have a yellow 63 stingray.

And like every other shelby cobra = kit car.

Back in the day rouyn-noranda was a mining town. Lot's of emigrants came here before the 2nd world war. as my dad's family did in the 30's.

My mother's family came from around here, and from France before that.

We do get warm summers, just not as long as others.

I never owned a convertible but almost every car I had, had a remote starter for the winter, and a/c for the summer.

Correction on the convertible since I own a jeep TJ, but no A/C, but that's my toy, instead of buying a side by side.
